We’re celebrating World Patient Safety Awareness Day by raising funds for our incredible BUMBLEance families. “The objective of World Patient Safety Day is to increase public awareness and engagement, enhance global understanding, and spur global solidarity and action to promote patient safety. Each year, we acknowledge priority patient safety areas where action is needed to reduce avoidable harm in health care and achieve universal health coverage.” – @ISQua

We are asking schools, offices, and communities to join together and wear your most Shocking Shirt to help those who need it most! We have seen an unfortunate rise in the need for our service in recent years and need your support in helping as many children and families as possible.

This is a fun and easy way in which you can raise funds for BUMBLEance. In the office, turn a casual Friday into a Shocking Shirt Day for BUMBLEance instead! Why wear a Shocking Shirt at your school as an alternative for non-uniform day? On the 27th, hang out with your friends, your community group, family – whoever!

Why organise a Shocking Shirts Day?

By organising and hosting a fundraiser you will be raising vital, much-needed funds for Ireland’s youngest patients. Throughout the pandemic our services were still running, however, all our main events & traditional fundraisers were cancelled, so now we need your help more than ever. Your support and fundraising will play an integral role in our ability to continue to support hundreds of children and their families get to their hospital appointments and travel to respite centres for their treatments.

So this year, put a smile on the faces of those around you by wearing your most shocking shirt!

Get excited and wear your shocking shirt for Thursday, the 21st of September. If that date won’t work, no worries! You can plan your Shocking Shirts Day for any time of the year!

How will my donations help?

All funds raised will go directly to ensuring our service helps as many children as possible. It will help us support more children and families, ensuring they get to all hospital appointments, surgeries, treatments, etc. stress and cost free. The money you have raised will keep the BUMBLEance wheels turning, and our entertainment systems will distract a child from what they are on their way to or from, allowing them to just be a kid for the time they are on BUMBLEance.
