Alice Boyd lives with her Mum and Dad, Jacky and Jason, and her five siblings – Calvin, Ronan, Jack, Molly and Cora. At just 5 weeks old Alice was diagnosed with Osteogenesis Imperfecta which is also known as Brittle Bone Disorder. During the first four years of Alice’s life she had suffered from 26 bone fractures. Alice doesn’t let her diagnosis hold her back, and attends primary school.
Alice had undergone third surgery in Sheffield Children’s Hospital. As a result, both her legs were in casts, making transport extremely difficult and uncomfortable. The team at BUMBLEance was delighted to be able to help Alice when they collected her directly off her flight from Sheffield to Belfast Airport. Alice’s mum Jacky says that “Alice’s journey would be impossible without BUMBLEance”.
