Manor West Retail Park announces the Bumbleance as the

Manor West Charity of the Year 2014

Manor West Retail Park is delighted to announce that the Bumbleance has been chosen as their Charity of the Year 2014. Manor West will be working closely throughout the year to aid the Bumbleance through fundraising activities and awareness campaigns for the incredible Tralee based charity.

The Bumbleance is a Children’s Ambulance Service which provides improved and professional medical transportation services for long-term sick and seriously disabled children, who require professional ambulance transportation.  The service transfers children in a fun environment from all over the country to their treatment centres.  The Bumbleance aims to make every trip a positive experience while providing the highest level of care.  The Bumbleance, as well as Bees for Battens and Liam’s Lodge are branches of The Saoirse Foundation set up by Tony Heffernan.

Tony stated “Manor West has been the local cornerstone of our fundraising activities over the past few years and we are most grateful and absolutely delighted that we have been chosen as the Charity Partner for 2014.  This partnership will help us ensure that BUMBLEance continues to transport sick children from Kerry and the rest of Ireland”

As Charity of the Year partners, Manor West will give the Bumbleance full support in promoting the deserved charity though events and fundraising efforts.  Manor West’s Charity of the Year for 2014 will be awarded a €1,000 MultiCentre Gift Card and also be allocated 12 Premium Collection Days in the Shopping Centre throughout the year.  This will give the Bumbleance the best opportunity to interact with the large audience visiting Manor West, creating awareness for the cause and also raising much needed funds.

Manor West Retail Park Centre Manager, Derek Rusk stated that “Manor West are delighted to be associated with the Bumbleance Charity, which is part of the Saoirse Foundation. Tony Heffernan, Founder and CEO of Bumbleance is a dynamic and inspirational person, whose purpose in life it seems is to help make the lives of seriously ill children much more pleasant and dignified. Everybody here is looking forward to working closely with Tony and the Bumbleance and we hope that we can help drive awareness and their fundraising efforts even further.

Manor West, over the past 2 years has embarked on a community campaign of helping promote local charities in Tralee and the wider Kerry area. It is truly humbling to see these charities work so diligently and selflessly towards a common goal i.e. the improvement in the lives of others.”
