The Corporate and Events Officer will work as part of the Fundraising Team on the implementation of the BUMBLEance new fundraising strategy (2022-2026) and assist in the development of new business opportunities to align with the strategic goals
The Corporate and Events Officer will be a passionate individual who can cultivate and steward new and existing business. They will have a good working knowledge of the charity sector and how to meet CSR goals for Corporate Partners. BUMBLEance is on a mission to create a culture that is
inclusive and welcoming for all. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a small team, in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will manage the delivery of a comprehensive calendar of events, identify new business opportunities within the area of Corporate Partners and Philanthropy.
- To establish new relationships through networking and business development.
- To identify & secure new corporate partners. This to include but not limited to employee engagement, cause marketing, sponsorship, charity of the year, income/gift in kind, corporate volunteer support, one-off donations.
- To support the delivery of a donor journey for all corporate partners to ensure maximum donor retention for both new and existing partners.
- To identify grant opportunities and apply for same with the support of our Service Managers.
- To support the promotion of activations/events.
- Collaborate with the wider fundraising team to develop and manage existing key projects such as national flagship campaigns, to ensure these campaigns are run effectively and are well planned and supported.
- To implement corporate plans and ensure our corporates have all the materials they need.
- To work cross functionally to maximise leads.
- To develop content for our website and engaging with our audiences through Twitter, Email marketing, Facebook and other social media networks.
- To assist in the management of media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
- To conduct research on opportunities and conduct analysis.
- To contribute to and deliver against annual budgets, targets and plans, working alongside the Management team.
- To attend local, regional and national fundraising activities and events.
- Update & Maintain CRM with accurate and timely information.
- Flexibility to travel and willingness occasional weekends/evenings as required.
- To undertake such other duties as might be reasonably assigned from time to time.
Essential Experience/Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in sales/business development/account management (experience within the charity sector essential).
- Demonstrable network of contacts/leads.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- The ability to ask, negotiate and influence.
- Computer literate, highly numerate with excellent writing and presentation skills.
- Demonstrable experience in working to and achieving high targets.
- Fluent in English

- Proven experience working with Salesforce or similar.
- The ability to work on your own and as part of a team.
- A full driving license and access to a car as this position requires some travel.
