Catherine Finn is a bright, energetic 11-year old from Midleton, Co Cork. In February 2017, Catherine was diagnosed with scoliosis and began the process of testing and monitoring the condition under the watchful eye of her consultant. When the severity of the scoliosis accelerated to a whopping 90 degrees, Catherine’s condition was deemed to be urgent and she received an operation at Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin at the end of August 2017.

After her operation, Catherine’s spine leaked fluid which caused severe headaches. This meant that she was confined to lying flat until the headaches subsided. Thanks to BUMBLEance, Catherine was able to lie comfortably on her back during the four-hour journey from Crumlin to her home in Midleton, happily accompanied by her sister and her Mam. Thank you very much to team BUMBLEance for all of your help.
