Alice Boyd is 4 and a half years old, she lives with her Mum Jacky and Dad Jason and her five brothers and sisters; Calvin, Ronan, Jack, Molly and Cora. At just 5 weeks old Alice was diagnosed with Osteogenesis Imperfecta which is also known as Brittle Bone Disorder. During Alice’s four and a half years she has suffered from 26 bone fractures.

Alice doesn’t let her diagnosis hold her back and is just finished pre-school. She is looking forward to starting primary school in September 2014 and especially to going with her sisters Molly and Cora.

Alice recently underwent her third surgery in Sheffield Children’s Hospital. As a result both her legs are in casts, making transporting her extremely difficult and uncomfortable. The team at BUMBLEance are delighted to be able to help out Alice when they will collect her directly off her flight from Sheffield to Belfast Airport. The BUMBLE Crew will be on-hand to cater for her every need and make sure that her journey home to Buncrana, Co. Donegal is made as pain free and comfortable as possible. Speaking about BUMBLEance, Alice’s mum Jacky says that “Alice’s journey would be impossible without BUMBLEance”.
