There have been over 11,000 trips nationwide since BUMBLEance’s inception and there are hundreds of families availing of the charity’s services – all of which are free. The Saoirse Foundation operates PHECC in conjunction with NAS. Pre-Covid the charity had started the PHECC process in relation to other vehicles and this process is ongoing. See below for the services available:
- BUMBLEance 1 and BUMBLEance 2 are operated by the NAS and are fully crewed services. These provide trips that may need medical intervention. The NAS support with provision of crew and fuel and hosts charging points and parking, however The Saoirse Foundation is responsible for all major components and maintain ownership of the vehicles.
- BUMBLEance 13 is supported in part by CHI. It is the new Critical Urgent Care and is supported with provision of crew and fuel and hosts charging points and parking, however The Saoirse Foundation is responsible for all major components.
- We also provide a driver only service.
Vehicles are assigned on the individual needs of each child.
